The unique geographical location of Novljanska Riviera puts it in the vicinity of many areas ideal for daily field trips. These historical and medieval towns include: Vinodol, Drivenik, Grizane, Bribir, Ledenice and Tribalj, well known for its fresh water lake. Other places include wooded areas such as Breza and Krmpota and the Bribir picnic spots of Lukovo and Masevo.
Tourist agencies organize filed trips by bus to the exceptional Postojna cave in the neighboring Slovenia, and to Lipica which is famous for raising and breeding the Lipicanac horses. The wooded areas of Gorski Kotar and picnic spots on the Bjelolasica Mountain and the Plitvice Lakes are not only beautiful natural phenomena, but also popular spots for visitors.

One-day motor boat trips are often organized, taking visitors to the neighboring villages of Klenovica, Selce, Senj and Crikvenica. Ships and hydrofoils take excursions to the islands of Krk and Rab, the famous archipelago of Brijuni, and to Italian cities of Trieste and Venice.

The northern side of the Krk island harbors picturesque towns of Vrbnik, Vinca, Silo, Klimno and Baska, all of which are famous for their Zlahtina vine sort, home smoked prosciutto and cheese. They are unforgettable places that are not to be missed.

Croatian coastal landscapes colored by sunset and sunrise hues make these trips especially appealing and romantic.
