Notice to hospitality providers, accommodation providers, and holders and members of family farms regarding the expiry of temporary decisions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Primorje-Gorski Kotar County has received a letter from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports calling upon the competent administrative bodies in the counties and the City of Zagreb to inform hospitality providers, accommodation providers, and holders and members of family farms in a timely manner about the expiry of temporary decisions issued pursuant to the Catering Industry Act.<\/p>\n

The Ministry reminds that, as of 1 January 2025, no new applications for the issuance of temporary decisions may be submitted, while temporary decisions that have already been issued remain valid until 31 December 2026 at the latest. With the entry into force of the new Catering Industry Act on 1 January 2027, the possibility of carrying out catering activities on the basis of temporary decisions will cease, and the competent administrative bodies will revoke such decisions ex officio as of 31 December 2026.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County calls upon all hospitality providers, accommodation providers, and holders and members of family farms who carry out their activities on the basis of temporary decisions to timely verify the status of the legalization procedures concerning their facilities, resolve property and legal matters, and obtain the necessary permits and other acts, including an occupancy permit, in order to meet the statutory requirements for continuing to carry out their activities.<\/p>\n

As temporary decisions remain valid until 31 December 2026 at the latest, after which they will be revoked ex officio, holders of such decisions who fail to meet the statutory requirements by the expiry of the prescribed deadline will not be able to continue carrying out catering activities on the basis of those decisions.<\/p>\n

In order to continue carrying out catering activities after the expiry of the temporary decisions, holders of temporary decisions are required to submit, by the end of this year, an application for the issuance of a permanent decision on the basis of the previously issued temporary decision. The application may be submitted once all statutory requirements have been met, i.e. after an occupancy permit has been obtained for the building or a final decision on the completed condition of the building has been issued, if the building was subject to a legalization procedure.<\/p>\n

All holders of temporary decisions are urged not to postpone the necessary procedures until the deadline expires, but to complete them in a timely manner so that they can continue to carry out their activities without interruption after 1 January 2027.<\/p>\n
