Výstavní program Městské galerie Turnac – Ana Sladetić – „Zagrebi povrch“
The June exhibition season at the City Gallery Turnac continues with a solo exhibition by Ana Sladetić titled “Scratch the Surface”, which brings together installations, ceramic objects and multisensory works connecting archaeological forms with contemporary visual culture, ecology and consumption. Through motifs of brands, packaging, scents and tactile interventions, the artist questions how we consume images, objects and the very idea of sustainability today.
The works of Ana Sladetić are inspired by artefacts from the Archaeological Museum, thereby linking past and present and adding a new dimension to the interpretation of archaeological objects.
Ana Sladetić graduated and obtained her PhD from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. She is the recipient of numerous international awards, and her work has been exhibited in more than 170 group and 20 solo exhibitions. Her artistic interest focuses on the intersection of personal and collective memory, traditional forms and contemporary technologies, creating works of strong visual appeal and deep conceptual grounding. She is an associate professor at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek.
The Turnac Gallery is open Monday to Saturday in two daily slots, from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 7 PM to 10 PM. It is closed on Sundays, public holidays and non-working days. Admission to all exhibitions is free.
