Four Days of Street Food Delights and a Rich Entertainment Program – Free Entry

After last year’s debut, the Altroke Food Festival is returning to Novi Vinodolski, bringing a diverse program for all generations. From May 1st to 4th, Frankopan Square transforms into the epicenter of open-air gastronomy and entertainment. Entry to the festival is free. Festival opening hours: Thursday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to midnight, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Just like last year, the festival keeps its urban and accessible vibe, offering a diverse and carefully selected food lineup that’s sure to please all street food lovers. The Marmota Taquerie team will be serving authentic Mexican dishes like tacos, quesadillas, and burritos, while Sosalicious street food will delight visitors with creative takes on Istrian specialties. Sweet lovers will enjoy imaginative desserts from Pop’s Sweet Shop.

The festival kicks off on May 1st at 5 PM, with the popular L’amour Trio taking the stage at 8 PM. On Friday, May 2nd at 8 PM, get ready to laugh as Bloger Krule delivers his hilarious stand-up show. Saturday, May 3rd is reserved for the high-energy Žažara Band, and Sunday, May 4th is all about the little ones – Kids Day brings a fun-filled program including a magic show by Andrej Škedel, face painting, creative workshops, and the ever-popular inflatable town.

Four days filled with flavors, laughter, and music – the festival offers something for everyone, from foodies to families with kids. With its laid-back open-air atmosphere, Altroke is the perfect springtime destination for those looking to enjoy great food and good company.

The Flower Fair, held on Friday and Saturday (May 2nd and 3rd), will add vibrant colors to the town center and offer beautiful seedlings for all gardening enthusiasts. The Parish of St. Philip and James will also hold a festive mass in honor of its patron saints, who are also the heavenly protectors of Novi Vinodolski.
