Tradition, nature, and Mediterranean delight

Mediterranean cuisine, besides its beauty and rich variety of food, also has an unusually vibrant and deep-rooted history. Despite the modest land and simple ingredients available to the locals, the traditional cuisine showcases remarkable creativity. The menu was often enriched with wild plants collected from spring to autumn. True delicacies included asparagus, wild arugula, dandelion, fennel, wild strawberries, blackberries, and figs.

The spirit of centuries-old culinary tradition has left a mark on today’s cuisine. In numerous taverns and restaurants, as well as at events held throughout the year, you can enjoy dishes inspired by our heritage. Visit our beekeepers and indulge in the natural elixir of honey and honey-based products. Take a trip to Klenovica, a charming fishing village where fish go straight from the net to your plate.

Pair your dishes with the indigenous wine varieties of our region

We highly recommend Žlahtina, an indigenous variety of the Croatian coast. Take a free afternoon and enjoy this divine drop at Pavlomir Wine House. Alongside Žlahtina, taste other award-winning wines from the Pavlomir winery. In addition to the premium sparkling wines 1288 and San Marino, be sure to try Ružica Vinodola, a rosé named after a festival rooted in the legend of the grape harvest’s conclusion in the Vinodol Valley.

Every meal we eat “awakens” our senses, creating pleasant and flavorful experiences. Take home a honey or wine souvenir that will continue to evoke these feelings and remind you of the wonderful time spent in Novi Vinodolski.

A wise saying goes: To truly know the soul of a place, visit its monuments to feel the spirit of the past, observe the architecture in which people live, visit markets and restaurants, and taste their everyday dishes.

Pavlomir Wine House

Wine, the divine drop, is the fruit of diligent hands.

It is the product of knowledge and the creative abilities of winemakers who work diligently throughout the year. Vineyard skills, harvesting, processing, and anticipation are integral parts of the winemaking art. The hardworking hands of Pavlomir Winery’s winemakers know this well.

The winery owns 40 hectares of land, 31 of which are vineyards. At the heart of the vineyard, a cellar and tasting room have been built, where numerous visitors now enjoy themselves.

In Croatia, it is customary for wines to be named after grape varieties, and the pride of Pavlomir’s vineyards is Žlahtina, a charming indigenous variety of the Croatian coast, with aromas of the sea, citrus, green apples, chives, and wet sea stones. Alongside Žlahtina, they also cultivate other varieties: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Frankovka, Pinot Blanc, and Muscat, some of which are premium wines.

The crown jewel of every wine production is sparkling wine, which requires exceptional expertise and care. Try the exquisite sparkling wines San Marino and 1288, and let their 250 million playful bubbles carry you away.

Seek the cool shade of the vineyards and experience the richness of scents, the colors of nature, and the finest aromas served in an elegant glass.

Tilia Tasting Room for Local Products

A fusion of tradition, nature, and flavors

In the heart of Krmpote, in the idyllic village of Jakov Polje, lies the Tilia tasting room, proudly preserving the rich tradition of the Croatian coast, which spans over half a century. Tilia represents a fusion of tradition, nature, and flavors, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience local delicacies.

Visitors can enjoy homemade cuisine and taste honey with different flavors and aromas, while Tilia also offers a wide selection of local products such as olive oil, wine, cheese, and dried figs… These products are the result of the dedicated work of small producers gathered around the Agricultural Cooperative API KVARNER, whose skills and love for tradition guarantee quality and uniqueness.

A special touch to this place is the collection of fig trees, which not only enriches the landscape but also contributes to the sustainable development of the rural area. Figs, honey, and other products from the Tilia tasting room reflect the harmony between nature and people, offering an unforgettable experience.

Tilia is not just a place to enjoy flavors—it is a story of preserving tradition, supporting local producers, and a deep love for nature. By visiting this tasting room, you will discover the hidden gems of the Croatian coast and take home a piece of authentic Mediterranean charm.
