Trail of Waves

The Trail of Waves begins in Povile and ends in Jadranovo. The total length of the trail is 30 km, running exclusively along the sea, mostly passing through the settlements of Povile, Novi Vinodolski, Selce, Crikvenica, Dramalj, and Jadranovo. The Trail of Waves crosses uninhabited areas from the Zagori campsite in Novi Vinodolski to Slana Bay in Selce, then from the Kačjak peninsula in Dramalj to Perhat in Jadranovo, and is only marked in these sections. Although the trail runs alongside populated areas, it has preserved the beauty of untouched nature, with highlights including the holm oak forest in the Dumboka area and the steep cliffs of Takla and Dumboka.

Trail of Karst and Sage

The Trail of Karst and Sage begins in Novi Vinodolski and ends at the Orljak pass (260 m above sea level) between Jadranovo and Drivenik. The total length of the trail is 28 km, mostly running along a low hilly ridge with an average elevation of approximately 300 m, which separates the Vinodol Valley from the sea. The ridge is steep towards the Vinodol Valley, while its slope towards the sea is gentle. In the Crikvenica area, the ridge is intersected by the Dubračina River. The trail offers stunning views of the coastal landscape and islands of Kvarner, the Velebit and Učka mountains, the lake in Tribalj, the fortresses in Drivenik and Grižane, and passes by the Badanj fortress, the chapels of St. Kuzam and St. Barbara, and the church of St. George.

Cliff Trail

The Cliff Trail begins at the Vinište mountain lodge at an altitude of 300 m and ends below the grassy ridge of Zebra in the Uhnja area (748 m above sea level) above the settlement of Drivenik. The total length of the trail is 29 km, encompassing steep rocky cliffs above the Vinodol Valley. Initially, the trail runs along the slopes of the first row of coastal ridges above Klenovica and Povile, and after passing through the settlement of Zagon, it begins to ascend along the steep cliffs above Vinodol. Frequent changes in the trail’s appearance, from rocky terrain and the shade of mountain ravines to mountain meadows, make it dynamic and interesting. Along the Cliff Trail, visitors can explore the peak of Gradina (379 m), the viewpoints of Kamenog križa, Kacalj, Klamaruša, and Slipica, the arranged viewpoint of Pridva, the mountain meadows of Njivine and Zebra, and the rocky massif of Kozak (669 m). Also notable is the Ledenice fortress, which was part of the defensive line against the Ottomans until the late 17th century.

Green Trail

The Green Trail begins in Luka Krmpotska at the hunting lodge at an altitude of 750 m and ends at the peak of Medviđak at 1027 m above sea level. The total length of the trail is 45 km and includes mountain meadows on the southern slopes of Ričičko bilo, Rujnik, and Sitovnik, as well as mountain peaks such as Rujnik (1042 m), Sitovnik (1048 m), Zagradski vrh (1187 m), Kanculova glava (1120 m), and Medviđak (1027 m).

At the beginning, the trail passes through mountain meadows offering stunning views of the sea, the Kvarner islands, and Velebit on one side, and on the other side, the highest mountain peaks in the area (Ričičko bilo, Strilež, Viševica, and others). After Sitovnik, the trail enters a forested section, alternating with gentle meadows such as Okruglo, Ravno, Laze, and Suha. A visit to the Glass Chapel, located near the hunting lodge in Luka Krmpotska, is highly recommended.

Heavenly Trail

The Heavenly Trail begins in Luka Krmpotska at the hunting lodge at an altitude of 750 m and ends at the peak of Medviđak at 1027 m above sea level. The total length of the trail is 53.70 km, encompassing the highest mountain peaks in the area: Crni vrh (1169 m), Ričičko bilo (1286 m), Veliki Smolnik (1279 m), Strilež (1381 m), Viševica (1428 m), Zagradski vrh (1187 m), Veliki Kobiljak (1112 m), and Medviđak (1027 m).

North of these mountain peaks lie vast expanses of beech and spruce forests, while at their foothills stretch the gentle mountain plateaus of Kolevratsko polje, Petnja, Crni kal, Maševo, Lukovo, Ravno, and Ličko polje. It is well worth visiting the peaks of Viševica and Ričičko bilo, the small church of Maša, the Strmeljeva rock formation, and Banska stolica, which consists of three large rocks resembling heads.

Trail of the Romans

The Trail of the Romans begins in Crikvenica at the City Sports Hall and mostly follows the course of the Dubračina River, all the way to its source near the village of Čandrli behind Drivenik. The total length of the trail is 15 km, and it was named after the Roman-era road that once ran alongside the stream, connecting Tarsatica (Trsat) with Senia (Senj).

It is worth visiting the preserved section of the Roman road, the ruins of the Chapel of St. Spirit (14th century), the Old Croatian cemetery of Stranče, the mills in the village of Cerovići, and the fortress in Drivenik.

Trail of Degenia

The Trail of Degenia begins in the village of Sibinj and ends in Kozica, at the campsite. The total length of the trail is 10 km and it encompasses two canyon-like valleys extending inland between the hills of Veliki vrh (512 m), Osredak (502 m), and Vrataruša (510 m). The trail was named after the Velebit degenia, an endemic plant that was previously believed to grow only on Velebit.

The trail passes through Vodna draga and skirts around Tomiška draga along its northern and western rocky edges at an altitude of 400 to 500 meters.
