The diverse terrain, various surface types, and unique panoramic views of the Kvarner Bay ensure that cyclists can enjoy every kilometer of distance and every meter of elevation. Road bike, trekking bike, or mountain bike? It doesn’t matter! Ten attractive, interconnected cycling routes will provide you with an unforgettable two-wheeled adventure.

Trail 300

An attractive circular trail that connects the most beautiful sections of the coastal part of the Crikvenica-Vinodol Riviera with its picturesque hinterland and rich Frankopan heritage. The route starts in the center of Crikvenica and follows the coastal road to Selce, then continues with a gentle ascent to Bribir, followed by one of the most exciting climbs – leading to the unique viewpoints of “Oči Vinodola” (Eyes of Vinodol). With a mix of short descents and climbs, and breathtaking scenery, the route continues with a longer descent through Hreljin and returns along Tribaljsko Lake and the Dubračina river to the finish at the Crikvenica waterfront.

Trail 301

The cycling trail leads from Novi Vinodolski, a town rich in cultural heritage and long history, towards the freshness of the Gorski Kotar forests, the scents and flavors of wild forest fruits, and stunning views of the Kvarner islands. From Novi Vinodolski, you take a section of the Adriatic Highway to Klenovica, where a 10-kilometer ascent to Luka Krmpotska begins. You continue towards Lukovo, where vast meadows unfold before you, often revealing wild horses. In Lukovo, refresh yourself with dishes made from wild herbs before continuing on a gentle, long descent through Bribir and the vineyards of “Pavlomir” back to the finish in Novi Vinodolski.

Trail 302

This interesting and easy circular trail is designed for recreational cyclists eager to discover hidden details of the rich history of the Crikvenica-Vinodol Riviera. The route starts in Crikvenica and follows the coastal path through Dramalj (Kačjak) to Jadranovo. Along the way, stop at the Lokvišće archaeological site, which dates back to the time of the ancient Romans and is rich in natural healing mud of balneological quality. From Jadranovo, the trail ascends to the main road, then continues towards Križišće before turning towards Drivenik. Like a guardian on the hill, the Frankopan castle stands tall—be sure to take a look inside. From Drivenik, the route passes through picturesque hamlets around Tribaljsko Lake and follows the Dubračina stream, descending back to the starting point.

Trail 303

The entire Vinodol region is a beautiful story woven from rich history, numerous cultural and historical monuments, natural beauty, and tradition. From Bribir, a town with a turbulent and rich past dating back to the time of the Frankopan princes, set off to explore the Vinodol hinterland. A combination of asphalt roads and gravel paths will lead you to the “Eyes of Vinodol,” a unique series of scenic viewpoints offering unforgettable panoramas, as well as to Frankopan fortresses that preserve the breath of the past along with stories yet to be told.

Trail 304

The Frankopan princes of Krk shaped more than five centuries of Croatian history, leaving behind a legacy of numerous castles, fortresses, and palaces spread across the Kvarner region. The circular trekking trail connecting Crikvenica and Novi Vinodolski is ideal for recreational cyclists on MTB or trekking bikes who want to explore the beauty of the riviera. After a warm-up along the coastal road to Selce, a gentle ascent follows into the hinterland and towards the vineyards that gave this region its name. After visiting Novi Vinodolski, you climb towards the “Gradina” viewpoint above Ledenice, then continue through Bribir along a panoramic gravel road, offering views reaching as far as the eastern coast of Krk and the entire Crikvenica-Vinodol Riviera.

Trail 305

Experience the magic of labyrinths and the powerful energy woven into the natural surroundings of the Vinodol hinterland. This easy circular trail with a gentle surface will delight many trekking cyclists. The route starts in Bater with a slight ascent towards the hamlet of Pleteno, which is featured on the tourist map of “Winnetou.” Here, you will feel the spirit of the Wild West and immerse yourself in the story of the famous Native American chief. Stop by the Heavenly Labyrinths to recharge with energy, then take a break and enjoy the view from the “Sviba” viewpoint.

Trail 306

The Heavenly Labyrinths offer a magnificent view of the sky, the sea, and the islands—breathe in, calm yourself, and encourage transformation within. If you are an MTB cyclist with medium technical and physical fitness and want to enjoy the upper part of the Vinodol hinterland with stunning panoramic views of the Kvarner islands, we recommend this trail.

After an initial climb right at the start, you will experience a dynamic mix of terrain and vegetation—ranging from typical Mediterranean low shrubs to green meadows with wind turbines and dense pine forests. Your wheels will glide over long gravel sections and several shorter technical segments.

Trail 307

A dynamic and technically demanding MTB trail designed for advanced recreational cyclists and those looking to test themselves on sections of the popular MTB races on the riviera – the Crikvenica XC Marathon and Fužine2Sea. From the center of Crikvenica, you head towards Tribalj, following the course of the Dubračina River, before climbing along an attractive forest trail to Baretići. You continue the ascent on the most beautiful mountain road in the region, as breathtaking views of Tribaljsko Lake and the Kvarner archipelago unfold before you. At the “Mahavica” viewpoint, you enter the realm of the Gorski Kotar forests and ride up to the highest point of the trail (950 meters). As a reward, a nearly 10 km-long combination of forest trails and singletracks awaits, leaving no one indifferent.

Trail 308

As you ride, you will explore hidden paths and gravel roads through the freshness of fir and beech forests, which will particularly appeal to those who enjoy uninhabited areas and untouched nature. Adding to this the unique gastronomic offerings and a section of the panoramic road with numerous viewpoints, you can’t go wrong choosing this trail, especially in the summer months.

Trail 309

An interesting circular trail designed for MTB recreational cyclists who enjoy a dynamic configuration with a combination of gravel roads, old cart paths, and singletracks. After starting in Novi Vinodolski and a warm-up along the coast, the route leads to the discovery of abandoned trails and a 7 km ascent from Klenovica to Drinak. This is followed by a gravel section to Bater, a climb along a forest trail, and a descent towards Bribir, with a special focus on the downhill stretch along an old mountain trail beneath the “Slipica” viewpoint. Before reaching the finish, you will also experience an exciting descent along the so-called “mulatijera”.
