Easter Breakfast Attracted a Large Number of Visitors to the Center of Novi
The traditional Easter breakfast in Novi Vinodolski was held this year on Easter Sunday itself, March 31st, and attracted a large number of visitors to the city center.
As always, guests were served a traditional Easter breakfast with eggs, onions, “pinca” (sweet Easter bread), and ham — this year enriched by a giant Easter frittata made from 1,000 eggs, asparagus, and bacon, which was served out in just half an hour. Thanks to the great turnout, all the prepared portions were distributed again this year, and the cheerful Easter morning atmosphere was made even more special by the acoustic trio Mareta from Crikvenica.
To make sure the youngest visitors also enjoyed Easter, a special children’s program was prepared, featuring an Easter bunny mascot, a chocolate egg hunt, and many fun games involving both children and their parents. As always, face painting with colorful Easter designs proved especially popular.
“It was wonderful to see such a great turnout for the breakfast. We were glad to welcome not only our local residents, but also many visitors who chose to spend the holidays in Novi Vinodolski. Guests from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, and Hungary mostly stayed at Hotel Lišanj, with some also in private accommodations. The pre-season and events like the Easter breakfast — which came quite early this year — really show how important hotel accommodation is for the destination. Hotel Lišanj was fully booked, guests were very satisfied with the weekend, and bookings for the week after Easter are also excellent. I’m very pleased with this first event of the year, and we hope to keep up this rhythm through April,” said Tena Peričić, Director of the Tourist Board of Novi Vinodolski.
