After the very successful Wine and Paint workshops, as well as the children’s play and storytelling event for St. Nicholas Day, on Sunday, December 10th, at Vinodol Law Square, a journey full of love and warmth awaits you. The Sunday program will start at 4:00 PM in the Public Reading Room and Library with a special program opening the exhibition of children’s artwork titled “The Light of Christmas in Children’s Hearts.” Every color, every brushstroke, and every spark of creativity tells a story of boundless childhood imagination.

As the rich gallery of joyful drawings reflects the light and joy of the holidays, the blessing of the second Advent candle will weave a path of love into our lives. Sunday afternoon will become a magical scene illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights, while children from the Fijolica Kindergarten, Ivan Mažuranić Elementary School, and the children’s church choir St. Little Teresa from the parish of St. Philip and Jacob will warm our hearts with their special program. The blessing of the Advent candle and the children’s program will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by entertainment with the band Trend. The scents of cinnamon, vanilla, and warm spices dancing in the air like an invisible symphony will spread from the Advent cabin, inviting you to surrender to the magic of the holiday miracle. Our Christmas train will also add a special magic to the enchanting Christmas setting with its lights and sounds, and we are sure the little ones will enjoy the House of Santa Claus once again. We won’t reveal everything — there will be a few more surprises to spice up the Christmas atmosphere.

We won’t have to wait long for the continuation of the Advent program. Each day of the upcoming week will be enriched with diverse activities. Already on Monday, December 11th, you can test your knowledge at one of last year’s Advent hits — the Christmas Quiz Pliz. The quiz will be held at the Cultural Center starting at 7:00 PM, and registration is required by email at info@nmig.hr by December 8th.

Workshops and storytelling sessions will also be part of this Advent week. On Tuesday, December 12th, the first part of the ceramics workshop will take place in the Small Hall of the Cultural Center, which is already fully booked, while Wednesday, December 13th, will be dedicated to the little ones who will learn about the magic of the Christmas tree during a storytelling session in Santa’s House.

On Tuesday, December 12th, the Fijolica Kindergarten will open its doors to Advent for the second time. The magic of Christmas will take over the kindergarten. Grandma Frost will bring laughter and joy, face painting will transform little faces into colorful characters, and animation will fill the space with play and laughter. The little ones will dance to the DJ, while the sweet corner will be a paradise for little gourmets. Christmas treats and sweet surprises will lure the little ones with their scents, while children’s laughter fills the kindergarten.

Another special part of Advent will open its doors this week. On Thursday, December 14th, Advent at Mažuranić will shine in full glory. A multitude of delicacies, musicians, children’s performances, and interesting guests will turn Advent at Mažuranić into a true symphony of delights for all senses.
