With the scent of mulled wine and the sparkle of festive décor, Advent at Mažuranić opened this Thursday as a special segment of the “New Advent.” The spirit of holiday joy came alive through a rich program that filled the past weekend with magic.

On Friday, Santa Claus visited Novi Vinodolski. Children delighted in a circus Christmas play “Janko Wanders the Christmas Path”, enjoyed face painting, and got keepsake photos inside Santa’s House. The evening ended on a high note with entertainment from Klapa Kampanel and DJ Matko.

Saturday focused on gastronomy. Alongside an animated program and the show “Christmas Magic”, chef Damir Tomljanović hosted a gastro show guiding local vendors in crafting the most delicious cod stew (brudet). Guests sampled it for free. The music continued with a lively performance by the group Face and DJ Saša Šoštarić.

The festive mood continues with workshops in ceramics, resin crafts, and a children’s storytelling session “Who Sleeps in the Little Manger.” From Thursday at 19:00, Mirakul and DJ Boris will heat up the atmosphere at Ivan Mažuranić Square, with scents of cloves and delicious Christmas treats filling the air. This Thursday is also the debut of Ivan Mažuranić Elementary School in the Advent—featuring a performance of The Nutcracker and a charity Christmas fair in the school courtyard.

Friday will bring more music with children from Fijolica Kindergarten warming hearts with their melodic performances. The stage then belongs to Grooversi, rhythm masters promising unforgettable fun, supported by DJ Bruno Bosco.

Saturday brings surprises for the youngest: an interactive show with LED props, followed by the magical musical “HO, HO, HO – LET’S GO!” led by Ana Debelić. Festive animations with LED characters and a Christmas train will brighten the square and invite photo moments.

The highlight of Saturday night is a concert by Christmas virtuoso Damir Kedžo, whose hits will warm the hearts of all present, with DJ Matko keeping the festive mood going.

Christmas Eve brings the traditional fish distribution, and Sunday morning will be filled with the aroma of delicious fish treats on the square, enhanced by music from Trio Family.
