On Thursday, September 3, at 8:00 PM, Srićina Kuća will host a concert by the David Kikoski Quartet.

Dave Kikoski, a highly acclaimed jazz pianist, sought-after studio musician and bandleader, is known for his accomplished post-bop style. Emerging onto the scene in the 1980s, Kikoski quickly established himself as a distinguished performer, working with a host of top artists including Roy Haynes, Billy Hart, Randy Brecker and many others. Further testament to his strong reputation came with his joining the hard-bop supergroup Opus 5, performing alongside saxophonist Seamus Blake and trumpeter Alex Sipiagin.

Kikoski has also won audiences over with his own sophisticated trio albums released by Criss Cross, including Inner Trust from 2000, featuring John Patitucci and Jeff “Tain” Watts, and Kayemode from 2017, featuring bassist Joe Martin and drummer Justin Faulkner.

Joining Kikoski for this performance will be award-winning musicians from the European jazz scene. Vladimir Kostadinović, whose latest album, Iris, released on the Criss Cross label, has won the hearts of audiences and critics around the world. Martin Gjakanovski has been one of the leading double bass players on the European jazz scene for many years. Representing the local scene will be Bruno Mičetić, a guitarist who is increasingly making his mark on the European jazz scene through collaborations with numerous prominent figures in the world of jazz. On the local scene, he has released around ten albums spanning a variety of musical styles.
