After a rich and diverse December Advent programme, Novi Vinodolski is once again ready to welcome the end of the year with the traditional and much-loved Zdravica Novoj. On Wednesday, 31 December, the town centre will once again transform into a place of positive energy, socialising and joy – a perfect prelude to the New Year.
The programme starts as early as 10:00 a.m., when bands Trend and Face will set the lively atmosphere at Ivan Mažuranić Square, while Trio Family will entertain visitors at Vinodolski Law Square.
Visitors can also look forward to a rich gastronomic offer. Alongside refreshments at three Advent houses, hunting associations Gradina and Košutnjak-Novi will delight guests with their game specialities, while the Ružica Vinodola Association will make sure no one goes thirsty. New Year’s mugs, allowing unlimited consumption of red and white mulled wine and one meal from the hunters – game goulash or a sausage – will be sold by the Ružica Vinodola Association at three locations in the town centre for a symbolic price of €10.00. The hunting associations will be present at two locations, as well as the wine serving points.
Special attention has also been given to the youngest visitors. A dedicated children’s corner at Frankopan Square will offer free ice skating, a rich animation programme including creating time capsules with New Year wishes, face painting, mascots of favourite characters, and sweet treats – doughnuts and juices provided by the Novi Vinodolski Pensioners’ Association. A special photo corner will also be available, where visitors can capture the most beautiful moments of Zdravica and take the photos home as lasting memories.
