We’re about to enter the fourth Advent weekend, and New Advent is once again brimming with events this week.

TOMORROW – Wednesday, at 5:00 PM
At the Public Reading Room & Library, there will be the holiday workshop Blagdanska čudotvornica – making holiday decorations for children. Then at 7:00 PM, in the Cultural Centre, there’s Božićni Kviz pliz! A few spots remain, so we encourage contestants to register via email info@nmig.hr, to take part in this fun quiz and win valuable prizes.

Saturday
At the Cultural Centre at 4:00 PM, there will be a workshop for making wholesome, raw holiday treats—this one has attracted many of our beloved hosts and is fully booked.

Sunday
In the Church of St. Margaret in Klenovica, after the 11:00 AM Mass, there will be a Christmas concert by our fellow citizen Jose Butorca, and on Monday in the hall of Ivan Mažuranić Elementary School at 5:00 PM, the Ivan Mažuranić Music School concert will take place.

But something that will surely delight all lovers of Advent events is the opening of a new segment of New Advent – Advent kod Mažuranića.

This Friday, with performances by Groovers and DAB (DJ & saxophone), we’ll officially open Advent kod Mažuranića with beautiful decorations at Ivan Mažuranić Square and a rich gastronomic offer in three Advent huts. From 6:00 PM onward, visitors can expect something new and different, along with a charming atmosphere.

Saturday on Ivan Mažuranić Square will also be cheerful, full of laughter and music. A comedian from the Split scene will entertain everyone from 7:00 PM with stand-up one-man comedy, followed by the Kvarner diva Eni Jurišić with her band and a surprise guest from “A-side.” And after the concert, the party continues with Trio Frix, performing international and local hits.

Sunday and Monday at Mažuranić are reserved for the little ones. On Sunday at 4:30 PM, there will be the children’s show and animation “A Day in Santa’s Laboratory”, followed by fun with DJ Powerplayer. On Monday, the wonderful Christmas program is organized by Fijolica Kindergarten. From 5:30 PM, the kindergarten will host a Christmas fair with handicrafts made with parents and educators, children will perform on stage, and there will also be a surprise for all visitors.

To make sure New Advent stays in your fondest memories, on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in Santa’s House there will be free Christmas photos with Santa Claus! Yes, you read that right—Santa will be home for a while, and you can take pictures with him. Photos will be given free of charge on-site, and also posted digitally on our pages. Our town will once again be delighted by a cheerful Christmas train for the joy of all children.
