Novi Vinodolski celebrated a sunny Sunday morning on Labour Day in true festive spirit. In honor of the feast of Saints Philip and James, the patron saints of the local parish, a rich program was held in the very heart of the town.

A flower and local products fair, a giant frittata made with 1,000 eggs and wild asparagus, and the musical event “Singing Balconies” filled the center of Novi Vinodolski with joy, colors, and delightful aromas.

There was something for everyone – from enjoying the delicious frittata to relaxing with live music by Joso Butorac, Vivien Gallette, and Matea Dujmović, accompanied on piano by Mladen and Mateo Žmak and Vladimir Babin. Visitors could also browse and buy fresh fruit and vegetables, handmade crafts, honey, lavender, and many other local products.

“I’m very pleased with the turnout and grateful that the weather was kind to us, especially considering the not-so-promising forecast. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed in any way to making this one-day event happen and who helped turn Novi Vinodolski into a meeting place for so many locals and guests,” said Tena Peričić, Director of the Tourist Board of Novi Vinodolski.
