New Leadership Elected for Skål Club Kvarner

At the electoral assembly of the Skål Club Kvarner, held on 20 November at the Navis Hotel in Opatija, members elected the club’s new leadership. For the next two years, the president of the Skål Club Kvarner will be Petar Škarpa, Director of the Rijeka Tourist Board. Tamara Černeka was appointed Vice President and representative in the National Committee, Irena Peršić Živadinov as Chair of the Executive Board, and the Board members are: Daniela Grlaš, Marijana Biondić, Anamaria Hauptfeld Schweitzer and Andrej Kušeta.
The Supervisory Board is headed by Katica Hauptfeld, with members Mirna Krešić and Tena Peričić, and auditors Dora Smolčić Jurdana and Ivana Kovačić. Valnea Ivašić was appointed the new Secretary of the Club, and Goran Pavlović the Liquidator. The new leadership takes on the role of promoting professional values in tourism and hospitality.
Skål International, founded in 1934, brings together managers and decision-makers from all areas of the tourism industry to foster and build a global professional network. It operates through more than 300 clubs with over 12,000 members in more than 80 countries under the slogan “Doing business among friends!” Membership in the club provides unique opportunities for networking with colleagues worldwide, sharing knowledge and experience, and participating in various projects. I am pleased that the Kvarner Club gathers 40 members from the Kvarner region – representatives of the tourism sector: travel agencies, hotel companies, hospitality professionals, tourist boards, colleagues from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and the event industry,” said Petar Škarpa, Director of the Rijeka Tourist Board and new President of the Skål Club Kvarner.
