The Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski and Run Croatia are organizing the first Novi Trail 2024 race on Saturday, May 4, with the start scheduled for 11:00 AM at Korzo hrvatskih branitelja.

Both the short and long routes pass through Antona Mažuranića Street. The longer one continues via Pridolska Street towards Barutana, then heads to Pavlomir and all the way to Sv. Vid before returning to the town center. The shorter route leads through Novljansko polje towards Pavlomir and also returns to the center. The race begins on asphalt and then continues onto marked trail paths of various terrain configurations, which is characteristic of trail running.

For this purpose, the following streets will be restricted to traffic during the race: Antona Mažuranića Street, Pridolska Street (from the intersection with Antona Mažuranića Street to the intersection with Prisika Street), Pavlomir Street, and Novljansko polje Street – from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Firefighters, police, and volunteers will be stationed along the course to ensure safety and provide assistance in case of emergencies. At the beginning of the race, streets will be fully closed, and as runners pass, limited access will be allowed until the next closure as participants return to the finish line.

Since Antona Mažuranića Street has many connecting streets, we kindly ask all citizens and visitors of Novi Vinodolski for patience and understanding during the race. Runners return along the same route to Korzo hrvatskih branitelja, and the arrival of the first finishers is expected from 12:00 PM, meaning the streets may reopen earlier if the race ends sooner.

At 1:30 PM, children’s races (100 m and 200 m) will take place on the pedestrian part of Korzo hrvatskih branitelja. We also ask for caution during the approximate 30-minute duration of these races.
