Another edition of the FIT4NOVI sports and recreation event is about to begin.
New Nordic Walking Season Starts This Saturday in Novi Vinodolski – Part of the FIT4NOVI Event
The rich and diverse sports and recreational event FIT4NOVI, which brings a variety of exciting programs to Novi Vinodolski, kicks off this Saturday with a Nordic walking and hiking session. Once again, the Tourist Board of Novi Vinodolski is offering both locals and visitors the attractive FIT4NOVI program. Last year, the initiative was enriched with Nordic walking tours along the town’s historic trails, and this popular activity is making its return—much to the delight of nature and walking enthusiasts.
The program is organized in cooperation with KŠR Gorovo and the Nordic Walking Team Opatija, and includes walks along the “blue” and “green” trails—routes suitable for all age groups.
To open the new season, on Saturday, April 19, the organizers are hosting a special walk through the “Valley of Wine”. In addition to walking along a scenic route, participants can enjoy a specially curated tasting experience. The gathering point is Pavlomir at 10:00 AM—a location that has put Novi Vinodolski on Europe’s wine map. After a warm-up, the 8 km route will lead walkers through Pavlomir – the Old Town (Church of St. Philip and Jacob) – the Frankopan Castle and Kvadrac Tower – Novi Vinodolski’s harbor – and back to Pavlomir. The walk is expected to last around 2 hours and 30 minutes.
After returning, participants will have the option to enjoy a wine tasting paired with a cold platter (prosciutto, cheese) for a promotional price of 15 euros. It’s a great chance to explore this unique winery and its rich eno-gastronomic offer, adding a special touch to a memorable day.
Organizers will provide Nordic walking poles, and the walk will be guided by licensed instructors. Participants can register on-site and are reminded to wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
