A well-known cultural event in Novi Vinodolski, which awakens the spirit of long-forgotten times every summer, is celebrating its grand 10th anniversary this year – ten years of encounters, smiles, music, tradition, and unforgettable moments in the heart of the Old Town.

Now a beloved summer tradition, this event will once again take place on Wednesdays – July 9, July 16, July 30, and August 13 – from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM. The charming stone alleys will come alive with the sights, sounds, and scents of the past: music, local specialties, tradition, and a joyful atmosphere that captivates all generations.

The opening night on July 9 will be especially festive, with the generous ladies from the 51+ Association treating visitors to homemade sweets and rakija on Frankopan Square. A magical touch will be added by the live fountain and an acrobatic performance at 8:30 PM, turning the square into a fairytale scene.

Four musical groups – Trio Nebuloza, Trio Fumić, TS Novi, and Klapa Kala – will fill the Old Town with Mediterranean melodies, inviting you to stop, dance, and enjoy. Visitors will also meet historical figures such as the Frankopans, Ban Ivan Mažuranić, and Ivana Brlić Mažuranić, while the town guard watches over the Old Town’s entrance.

Members of the Ilija Dorčić folklore ensemble in traditional costumes will bring a spirit of history to life, and specially designed photo corners will offer the perfect spot to capture summer memories.
Children will enjoy face painting or trying their hand at archery – a fun activity that’s sure to entertain adults too. Local craftsmen, artists, and artisans will showcase their unique handmade creations, breathing new life into the streets.

There will be two traditional seaside taverns offering local wine, sparkling wines, and prosciutto, as well as food stalls with fritule and regional delicacies that embody coastal hospitality.
Each Wednesday brings a new reason to visit, but one thing remains the same – an authentic atmosphere where past and present dance together, street by street, smile by smile, for ten years and counting.
