Ledenice, a village in the hinterland of Novi Vinodolski, will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel – the patroness of Ledenice – with a special program held on July 16 and July 23.

On the feast day itself, July 16, a Holy Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 PM in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ledenice. A children’s theatre performance will follow at 7:00 PM, directed by Šareni svijet and titled “The Cheerful and Crazy Adventures of the Wolf, the Bunny, and the Little Stork”. The play will be held at the local bocce court, and entrance is free.

“A cheerful show you’re all invited to – grandparents, parents, kids too… The bunny, the wolf, and the chimney sweep will bring joy and fun all day… We’ll save the little stork and do a good deed – even the sun agrees! We won’t reveal everything, so join us soon – fun is guaranteed!”

The celebration continues with a musical evening featuring the tamburitza ensemble Fijaker from Osijek, who will perform at the bocce court from 9:00 PM.

On Saturday, July 23 at 3:00 PM, the traditional bocce tournament will take place with 24 participating teams and live music by a local band.

The event is organized by the Ledenice Association for Folk Traditions and the Ledenice Bocce Club, with support from the City of Novi Vinodolski, the Tourist Board, and the Cultural Center.
