Historical Gathering in Novi Vinodolski on the Role of the Bee in the Environment – From the Vinodol Code to the Present Day
Novi Vinodolski has the honour of being the host and one of the organisers of a scientific conference focusing on the bee and its role in the environment – from the Vinodol Code to the present day. The scientific conference “The Place and Role of the Bee in the Environment – From the Vinodol Code to the Present Day” is held under the patronage of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts – Department of Natural Sciences, on March 31 and April 1, 2023.
This event connects the historical importance of Novi Vinodolski – where the Vinodol Code was signed back in 1288 – with the essential role of the bee, the foundation of our ecosystem. Without bees, our landscapes, our food supply, and the future of both plant and animal life would be at serious risk.
This is undoubtedly the most significant scientific gathering in the history of Croatian beekeeping. We therefore invite all active beekeepers, as well as lovers of honey – the most precious bee product – to join us in Novi Vinodolski, the sweet centre of Croatian apiculture during these special days.
