Novi Advent – This Week’s Program

21. Dec - 26. Dec

A few days before Christmas in Novi Vinodolski will be filled with joy – weather permitting. On Wednesday, a Christmas story titled “The Snow Sister” by Maja Lunde will be read in Santa’s House. On Thursday, a Christmas performance will take place in the Ivan Mažuranić School hall, while the Public Library and Reading Room will host a lecture by Dora Grabar and Nevenka Romanić Kristensen, titled “Ode to Cod”.

On Friday, Advent at Mažuranić continues with a special culinary experience! A very special guest, chef Damir Tomljanović, is coming to town! While the MasterChef contestants won’t be joining him this time, Damir will visit each Advent stall, help prepare fish delicacies, and then judge them. Visitors will get the chance to taste the dishes as well. Since Damir is one of our own, we’re sure this will be a special moment for him as well.

To make the evening even better, the music group F.A.C.E. from Zagreb will perform – and they have a local connection too, since one of the members is our very own Bruna Levar. It will surely be an evening of successful locals returning home with joy.

Christmas Eve in Novi Vinodolski will traditionally feature fried sardines and wine, offered by the Ružica Vinodola Association, accompanied by live music from Trio Family. The Christmas party will continue into the evening with the band Trend and DJ Santa Claus. Dress code: Christmas joy for everyone!

On Monday, December 26th, the Feast of St. Stephen, Joso Butorac will perform a Christmas concert in St. Philip and James Church in Novi Vinodolski, following the 6:00 PM Holy Mass.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas – full of peace, joy, love, and togetherness. May the spirit of Christmas fill your hearts!
