POLAK TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS

At the beginning of each calendar year, precisely on the first Sunday after the Feast of the Epiphany, carnival madness begins on the Kvarner coast – and so it is in Novi Vinodolski, where the local people love and respect their traditions and customs.
After a long two-year pause, the carnival festivities return to the Cultural Center and last until February 25th. This year’s program, spread over five weeks, offers plenty of events for both young and old masqueraders. Saturdays are reserved for carnival dances, and Sundays for children’s parties and tea gatherings.
