Novi Vinodolski has once again proven it knows how to make the end of the year truly special! The traditional New Year’s Toast, held on December 31st, attracted thousands of visitors from nearby towns and across the region, turning the city center into a lively stage of music, dance, and celebration! On a beautiful winter day, with sunshine and a pleasant 12°C, Novi radiated warmth and joy.

The program began at 10:00 AM and lasted until late afternoon, offering something for everyone. Once again, the town squares became the epicenter of entertainment – with bands Insula and Point performing on Ivan Mažuranić Square, and Replay Band keeping the energy high on Vinodol Law Square.

Four Advent huts served tasty dishes, desserts, and drinks to ensure no one went hungry or thirsty. Local hunting clubs Gradina and Košutnjak-Novi served their famous stew and sausages, while Ružica Vinodola offered mulled wine. This year again, visitors could purchase a special New Year’s package for €10, which included a mug and coupon for unlimited mulled red and white wine from Ružica Vinodola and a serving of the hunters’ specialty.

Children also had plenty to enjoy, with an animation program by Animino Group, face painting at two locations, a jolly snowman, and a friendly 3-meter tall white bear. The 51+ Association added to the festive spirit by handing out doughnuts and juices. The fun continued at the Winter Magic of the Frankopans ice rink, open until January 6.

The highlight of the event was the official countdown and toast, led by the Director of the Tourist Board, Tena Peričić, and the Mayor of Novi Vinodolski, Tomislav Cvitković.

The Mayor greeted everyone with: “Welcome to another New Year’s Toast, welcome to Novi Vinodolski. We have beautiful weather, and many of you here – we are truly glad. Let’s leave the bad behind and take only the good into the New Year.”

The Tourist Board Director added: “I wish you all the best in 2025 – love, health above all, happiness, success, and everything else you wish for yourselves. I hope we continue to gather like this in Novi Vinodolski for many, many years.”

This special daytime celebration once again showed that Novi Vinodolski knows how to perfectly combine tradition and fun. With great organization, a rich offer, and an unforgettable atmosphere, the New Year’s Toast was the ideal way to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one.
