The Venetians Set Novi on Fire – Exhibition

On Monday, November 10th at 6:00 PM, the National Museum and Gallery in Novi Vinodolski will open the exhibition “The Venetians Set Novi on Fire.”
The exhibition is dedicated to the 410th anniversary of this tragic event. It focuses on the Venetian attack and destruction of the town of Novi, an event preserved in the traditional song “The Venetians Set Novigrad on Fire.”
However, this event is not merely a vague legend from forgotten times recorded only in song — it is clearly described in several historical sources from that period.
