Active Easter: a walk and enjoying spring
Easter Saturday in Novi Vinodolski brought an excellent programme of Nordic walking and hiking, organised by the Novi Vinodolski Tourist Board in cooperation with KŠR Gorovo and the Nordic Walking Team Opatija.
More than fifty participants gathered to enjoy the beautiful weather and an active day outdoors. A special edition of the programme was prepared for the occasion, offering not only an आकर्षive walking route but also a carefully curated tasting experience. Numerous enthusiastic participants, including international visitors, met at the unique Pavlomir vineyard, well known beyond Croatia’s borders. Following opening remarks by Dalibor Korenić from KŠR Gorovo and Nordic Walking Team Opatija and a warm-up session, the group set off along the route Pavlomir – Kalvarija – Petra Krešimir waterfront – harbour – Old Town of Novi Vinodolski – Pavlomir. The 8 km route was completed in approximately two and a half hours. Along the way, participants made the most of the stunning scenery and weather, capturing memorable photos to take home.
Upon returning, participants were invited to enjoy a guided tasting at the Pavlomir winery, featuring excellent wines paired with light bites, with socialising continuing well into the afternoon.
As is tradition, organisers provided walking poles and licensed guides led the group, while hosts also invited everyone to the “Easter Breakfast” – a traditional event taking place the following day, Sunday, April 5th at 11 a.m. on Korzo hrvatskih branitelja. Visitors will be treated to a variety of delicacies – fragrant pinca bread, succulent ham, spring onions, boiled eggs and assorted desserts. Special attention will surely be drawn to the fritaja made from as many as 1,000 eggs and asparagus, prepared in a large pan and becoming a signature feature of the event year after year. All delicacies will be offered as a gift to visitors, complemented by traditional Tonka’s fritule, this time in a special “ala pinca” variation.
