The excellent spring season of the Nordic walking program along the historic promenades of Novi Vinodolski, organised by the Tourist Board of Novi Vinodolski in cooperation with KŠR Gorovo and Nordic Walking Team Opatija as part of the popular and attractive FIT4NOVI event, came to an end with a walking day on the beautiful Celestial Labyrinths trail.

Participants in great spirits enjoyed the wonderful weather and the attractive trail, starting from Luka Krmpotska. Along the 7.5-kilometre route, they visited Omar (the Glass Chapel), the Celestial Labyrinths and Velika Sviba (848 metres above sea level), before happily returning to Luka Krmpotska. It was a fantastic walking Sunday that marked the close of the spring season.

The program offered a series of attractive walking days during which participants discovered the natural and cultural beauty of the Novi Vinodolski area. The well-maintained trails led through stunning locations, allowing walkers to enjoy breathtaking blue-and-green landscapes. The remarkable Celestial Labyrinths, the Glass Chapel Omar, vineyards, parts of the rich sacral and cultural heritage, the remains of the former Gradina fortress and its panoramic viewpoint, medicinal herbs, trails right by the sea as well as inland routes only a few minutes from the coast… all formed part of the unique locations explored by participants along the way. This season once again featured an especially attractive wine and gourmet tasting experience organised in cooperation with Pavlomir winery.

Although the curtain has closed on the spring season, we believe autumn will bring a new season of Nordic walking and hiking to the delight of everyone attracted to this kind of outdoor activity. The cooperation between the Tourist Board of Novi Vinodolski, KŠR Gorovo and Nordic Walking Team Opatija has proven highly successful over several seasons, and there is no doubt it will continue just as successfully in the future.
