Flavors, music and a great atmosphere marked the Altroke Food Festival
The extended May Day weekend in Novi Vinodolski was marked by gastronomy, great music, and an excellent atmosphere thanks to the Altroke Food Festival, which took place from April 30 to May 3 at Frankopan Square. During those days, the town center became an unmissable meeting point for numerous visitors eager to enjoy street food offerings and a diverse entertainment program.
An attractive lineup of exhibitors ensured a rich gastronomic experience. Grof Lovski presented authentic game meat specialties, while Sosolicious street food delighted visitors with modern interpretations of Istrian dishes. Sweet lovers enjoyed the creative desserts from Pop’s Sweet Shop, which drew significant attention.
The festival opened on Thursday, April 30, with a stand-up performance by Ante Travizi, who brought the audience to tears with laughter and set the tone for a weekend filled with good energy. On May 1, the lively trio L’amour further boosted the atmosphere, while on May 2, the evening’s musical highlight was delivered by Antonio Krištofić and his band.
Sunday, May 3, was reserved for the youngest visitors. As part of the Kids Day program, children enjoyed inflatables and an entertainment program hosted by clown Marko, rounding off the festival in a family-friendly spirit.
An additional charm to the extended weekend was provided by the flower fair held on Friday and Saturday, which brought spring colors to the town center, creating a pleasant and vibrant backdrop.
With an abundance of flavors, music, and positive energy, the Altroke Food Festival once again showed what an extended May Day weekend in Novi Vinodolski can look like – relaxed, delicious, and filled with content for all generations.
