Novi Vinodolski traditionally celebrates New Year’s Eve at noon – or, as the locals like to say, with a toast to the New at “Zdravica Novoj”!
This festive event grows every year, attracting thousands of visitors who enjoy great music, tasty local food, fun for children, and—this year—an especially beautifully decorated town. The celebration has been held in Novi Vinodolski since 2011.

This year, Zdravica Novoj expands its program with live performances on two stages: Fortunal and Eureka will play on the main stage at Trg Ivana Mažuranića, while the quartet Unique will perform at Trg Vinodolskog zakona. The official countdown and midday toast will happen on the main square with special effects and warm wishes. The program will be hosted by the one and only Mario Battifiaca, also known as Franko Ćuk!

Delicious food will be available from three Advent houses offering sweet and savory treats, local hunting associations Gradina and Košutnjak serving goulash and sausages, Ružica Vinodola pouring mulled wine, and the 51+ Association handing out doughnuts near the entrance to Santa’s House (Turnac Tower).

Again this year, visitors can buy a special mug with a coupon at three locations in town. With it, you’ll enjoy unlimited mulled wine and a meal from one of the hunting associations.

Children will have plenty of fun thanks to LA LA LAND Theatre, offering face painting, giant soap bubbles, balloon creations and more from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

“The event will go ahead despite the forecast of less-than-perfect weather. We’re hopeful that luck will be on our side and that visitors will truly enjoy our Zdravica Novoj.
