On Wednesday, 29 July, the enchanting islet of San Marino in Novi Vinodolski once again became a stage for music, emotions and memories. At the second edition of the musical evening In Honour of Oliver, a large number of visitors enjoyed the timeless songs of Oliver Dragojević, one of Croatia’s greatest musicians, performed with great emotion by the band Trend.

The journey to the islet was an experience in itself. The boats Vila Vinodolska and Bartelo Mali transported visitors from the small harbour on Dr. Franjo Tuđman Promenade to San Marino islet, allowing everyone to become part of this unique musical story for the symbolic price of five euros.

The beautifully illuminated islet, the scent of the sea and Oliver’s timeless lyrics created an atmosphere that is difficult to put into words. The many boaters who watched the concert from their own vessels added a special touch to the evening. Their lights shimmering on the surface of the sea, the glowing flares and the sound of everyone singing together created a scene that will remain in many people’s memories.

Everything was just as Oliver loved it most – the sea, boats, a little islet and songs that have touched generations. It was an evening when the sea, music and memories came together as one, once again proving that Oliver’s songs are timeless. His music continues to bring people together, awaken the most beautiful memories and create moments that stay with us for a long time.
