Despite the bad weather that disrupted the opening of Advent at Mažuranić, Ivan Mažuranić Square offered a lovely program on Sunday and Monday – especially for the little ones.

On Sunday, the LA LA LAND theatre held a fun children’s performance titled “A Day in Santa’s Lab”, followed by a musical set by DJ Powerplayer. The winter weather was quite harsh, and with the Croatian national football team (“Vatreni”) returning home, only a few brave visitors enjoyed the Sunday program.

However, Monday brought a joyful atmosphere, filled with songs and children’s laughter. The Fijolica Kindergarten prepared a beautiful Christmas show with performances by nursery and kindergarten groups, including dancing, singing, and recitations. Also performing was Čudotvornica, a musical and English language group. A special surprise came from the kindergarten staff and the principal, who put on a dance performance and a fantastic musical number.

Santa Claus also visited his little house on Monday, giving all children the chance to talk to him, take a photo together, and keep it as a memory. Both children and adults happily took part – not just in meeting Santa, but also riding the cheerful Christmas train.
