On 28 July, the Fešta od kilometra once again transformed Novi Vinodolski’s longest promenade, Obala Petra Krešimira IV, drawing smiles to the faces of countless visitors. As always, the event was extremely well-attended, and there was no shortage of positive energy, good vibes, or fun.

Along the promenade, 46 exhibitors offered a true feast for the senses—including honey, homemade brandies, sweets, creams, beautifully handmade bags, and other unique local crafts. There was something for everyone in the colorful array of artisanal offerings.

Of course, no festival is complete without delicious food and drinks. In addition to the regular eateries, special food stalls were set up just for the event. The air was filled with the aroma of fish specialties, mussels simmering in large pans, and other delectable treats. The skilled members of the Ružica Vinodola association expertly sliced prosciutto for visitors to savor. Rare was the guest who didn’t sample at least one of the offerings.

Music floated through the air with performances from five groups along the entire promenade up to Havana Beach Bar. Strollers often paused to enjoy the repertoire—some even danced on the spot! Tambura ensembles Merak and Ferali, Trio Vivak, Grupa Tremolo, and the newcomer to the region, Black & White from Karlovac, each delivered vibrant performances.

Children had just as much fun. They enjoyed photo booths, face painting, and “Little Eyes Adventure”—a specially designed kids’ animation program. Suddenly no one felt sleepy!

The highlight of the evening arrived at 11:00 PM when a fireworks display took to the skies, launched from the sea. The brilliant display traveled the full length of the promenade and lit up the night for all visitors.

The celebration carried on into the early hours of the morning. A peaceful walk by the sea, the scent of coastal culinary treats, lively music, and a relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect evening to unwind.
