On its birthday, Novi Vinodolski also celebrated recognition for Novi Advent
7. January 2024.
Last year, Novi Vinodolski celebrated several important milestones, including 145 years of organized tourism, and the new year begins with great news.
The City Day of Novi Vinodolski is marked on January 6th, the date when the Vinodol Code was adopted back in 1288, also known as the Epiphany. The beginning of the year in this picturesque Kvarner town is filled with celebration, and now Novi Vinodolski has another reason to be proud.
Novi Advent competed for the title of the Most Beautiful Advent in Croatia via the Facebook page Gradonačelnik.hr. After eight days and tens of thousands of likes, the winners were announced across several categories. Novi Advent proudly claimed third place in one of them!
“The only coastal Advent in the top 5 in the category of small towns is Novi Advent – Advent in Novi Vinodolski, which secured 1,070 likes and placed third,” reports the website Gradonačelnik.hr. The competition was also supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
“I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making this year’s Advent the most magical one yet, and a big thank you to all the visitors who were part of it and recognized its charm. The effort, dedication, creativity, and time invested by our fellow citizens have been acknowledged and rewarded, which means a great deal to all of us. I’m especially pleased we managed to hold the entire program as planned and that our visitors experienced a different, festive Novi — especially enchanting during the holidays. This recognition is an additional motivation for the future. I look forward to what this year has in store!” said Tena Peričić, Director of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski.
We believe that the natural beauty of the coast and hinterland, along with the rich offering that defines this region, will attract many tourists to Novi Vinodolski again this year. Novi Advent captured the hearts of visitors with its charm and marked a brilliant start to the new year, which is expected to bring even more domestic and international guests to this Kvarner gem.
