Public call for support for events and other events of general importance for the Novi Vinodolski Community in 2024

Based on the Law on Associations (OG 74/14, 70/17, 98/19), the Regulation on Criteria, Standards, and Procedures for Financing and Contracting Programs and Projects of Public Interest Implemented by Associations (OG 26/15, 37/21), and the Annual Plan of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski (hereinafter: TB Novi Vinodolski), the following is announced:

PUBLIC CALL
for the allocation of support through sponsorship, (co)financing of events and other activities of general interest to the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski in 2024

I.
The budget of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski for 2024 includes funds intended for the sponsorship of one-day and multi-day events and the (co)financing of events and other activities of general interest to the Tourist Board of Novi Vinodolski to be implemented during 2024. One-day and multi-day events and other activities, in the context of this Public Call, may be submitted by associations/clubs/societies or other legal and natural persons presenting various events, forms of expression and representation of quality in the fields of culture and cultural heritage, sports, education, commemoration of significant events or dates, etc., organized for the purpose of entertainment, information, and enhancing the quality and quantity of the offer in the area of the City of Novi Vinodolski, especially outside the tourist season, and contributing to the creation of a recognizable image of Novi Vinodolski, whether of international, national, regional, or local character.

II.
The total value of this Public Call amounts to EUR 22,000.00, and the funds will be distributed to applicants who meet the conditions of this Public Call. The funding range for individual events/activities is from EUR 130.00 to a maximum of EUR 4,000.00.

III.
Non-repayable support funds may be awarded exclusively for the organization and realization of events within the City of Novi Vinodolski in 2024, including:

Cultural, entertainment, sports, eno-gastronomic, historical, traditional/ethno, and artistic events, congresses, and other events that fulfill the objectives of Item I of this Public Call.

IV.
The right to submit applications under this Public Call is granted to legal and natural persons, including:

Companies, crafts, associations, cooperatives, sports federations, cultural institutions, other public institutions, and artistic organizations.
Note for associations – Applications may only be submitted by associations registered in the Register of Associations and which have fulfilled their obligations under previously concluded financing contracts with the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski and other public sources (proven by a relevant statement signed by the authorized representative of the applicant).

V.
The Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski may grant support for up to 50% of the total cost of an individual event, provided that TB Novi Vinodolski deems the costs objectively justified for the realization of the event.

VI.
The criteria for the selection and allocation of funds for events/activities are as follows:

  • the event/activity is aimed at direct social benefit and meets real community needs, with a focus on improving the overall tourist offer of the Novi Vinodolski Riviera,
  • character of the event – international, regional, national, local (regarding performers/participants),
  • content quality – exceptional quality, high quality, simple,
  • significance of the event in creating motivation for visiting the destination,
  • timing of the event (pre- and post-season 1.1.–14.6./16.9.–31.12. are prioritized over the main season 15.6.–15.9.),
  • event tradition (sustainability) – number of years the event has been held,
  • clearly defined and realistically achievable goals of the event,
  • clearly defined target audience,
  • clear timeframe and location of the event,
  • realistic cost-to-activity ratio,
  • organizational capacity of the applicant,
  • secured co-financing from other sources.

VII.
Applications must be submitted exclusively on the prescribed forms, which, together with the Guidelines for Applicants and other competition documentation, will be available on the official website of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski: tz-novi-vinodolski.hr from 8 December 2023 or can be collected at the office of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski, Kralja Tomislava 6.

VIII.
Applications can be submitted in two ways:

1. By registered mail in a sealed envelope sent to the address:

2. By personally delivering a sealed envelope with the address from point 1 to the Office of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski.

IX.
The Public Call remains open until the allocated budget funds are exhausted, and no later than 1 March 2024 (applications with a postal dispatch date of 1 March 2024 will be accepted).

X.
Decisions on the allocation of funds for sponsorships, (co)financing of events and other activities will be made by the Tourist Council of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski based on the proposal of the Evaluation Committee, after the closure of this Public Call and no later than the end of March 2024.
The decision on approval and allocation of financial resources will be published on the official website of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski.

XI.
Applicants whose projects are approved for funding will sign a Contract on the financing of the event for the year 2024.
