Two projects of the Crikvenica – Vinodolska Riviera received financial funds from the fund for associated tourist communities
12. March 2025.
The Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina and the Director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić handed over contracts for projects of regional tourist boards in a touristically underdeveloped area and on the continent, as well as for projects of associated tourist communities in 2025.
The Crikvenica – Vinodolska Riviera received financial funds for the development and promotion of tourism within the framework of the fund allocation program for associated tourist communities, namely for the projects “Camino Vinodol” (a new tourist product) and “Development and market introduction of complex tourist products aimed at branding the Crikvenica – Vinodolska Riviera as an eno-gastro destination” (second phase). The first phase of this second project began last year when a document was prepared on the existing value chain of eno-gastro tourism in the destination, identifying attractions, products, and services.
The fund allocation program for associated tourist communities aims to foster cooperation among tourist boards and to create competitive and attractive tourist destinations. The Crikvenica – Vinodolska Riviera, as one of the leading tourist destinations in Croatia, is recognized for its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and diverse tourist offer.
In front of three tourist boards – the TZ of the City of Crikvenica, the TZ of the City of Novi Vinodolski, and the TZ of the Vinodolske općine – the contract was handed over to the coordinator of the Crikvenica – Vinodolska Riviera subregion, the Director of TZG Crikvenica, Marijana Biondić. “This allocation of funds represents a significant step forward for our destination. We will use the funds to develop new tourist products and services, all aimed at creating a new reason for visits outside the main season and enriching the existing offer. The cooperation of our tourist boards of the Crikvenica – Vinodolska Riviera (TZG Crikvenica, TZG Novi Vinodolski and TZO Vinodolske općine), which has lasted for years, is extremely important due to the numerous connections our region has, and it is also important to note that our dear guests do not recognize administrative boundaries, and that is why we have been working on joint tourist products for years. We are proud of all our joint projects to date – the development of outdoor products, eno-gastro products, spatial interpretation, and many others, and these financial funds are an additional boost for all our future plans and projects,” said Marijana Biondić, Director of the Tourist Board of the City of Crikvenica and coordinator of activities in implementing the Agreement on the Association of Local Tourist Boards from the area of the Crikvenica – Vinodolska Riviera.
