TZG Novi Vinodolski Allocates 22,000 Euros for Co-financing Events in 2025
20. March 2025.
In accordance with the 2025 Budget, the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski issued a public call for the allocation of funds through sponsorship, co-financing of events, and other happenings of general significance for the city of Novi Vinodolski. Associations, individuals, and legal entities could apply to the public call, and we are pleased to note that a large number of applications were received this year. A total of 26 associations and clubs expressed interest in organizing a variety of events aimed at enriching the city’s cultural and sports offerings and promoting the city’s identity both outside and during the main tourist season. The funds were allocated according to the criteria defined in the public call, with special emphasis on pre-season and post-season events, in order to extend the tourist season.
After evaluating the applications, a total of 22,000.00 euros was approved, which is an increase of 4,500 euros compared to last year. This financial support will enable the realization of events covering a wide range of community interests. Among the supported events are numerous sports activities such as regattas, football and bocce tournaments, as well as an autumn cycling tour taking place for the first time this year, and the CRO RACE, which will once again pass through our city, offering spectacular footage that will present the beauty of Novi Vinodolski to the world. Motorcycle enthusiasts will enjoy the Vespa gathering, Enduro race, as well as the traditional Harley Davidson show and the Open bike event.
Funds have also been directed toward preserving folk traditions, including carnival customs in the city area, as well as towards already traditional events such as the wine exhibition, St. Martin’s Day, the distribution of fish on Christmas Eve, and the New Year’s toast. The city’s cultural scene will further come to life with a review of folklore ensembles and klapa groups, highlighting the richness of local heritage and traditional values.
Additionally, financial support was approved for numerous associations and clubs in the city’s hinterland to organize celebrations of their patron saints and local events. The importance of humanitarian work was also recognized, so part of the funds will go toward the Summer/Autumn/Winter Exhibition organized by the Red Cross.
The high level of participation and the growing interest of associations and clubs in organizing events confirm that the local community recognizes the importance of such happenings in strengthening the tourist offer, and the approved funds will certainly facilitate the organization of these events.
A detailed list of associations, clubs, and the amounts of allocated support is available on the official website of the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski.
