On Tuesday, 4 August 2026, the Church of St. Philip and St. James will host a concert by the Accion Piano Trio as part of the 16th edition of the Art Novi International Festival of Classical Music.

In 2013, during their studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, three young Austrian musicians with a strong passion for chamber music founded the piano trio Accio: Christina Scheicher (piano), Clemens Böck (violin), and Anne Sophie Keckeis (cello). Since then, they have performed regularly in Austria, across Europe and beyond, and have won numerous awards at national and international competitions.

Since 2014, the Accio Piano Trio has been supported by the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Foundation and has been selected twice for the Austrian competition Musica Juventutis, making its debut at the Vienna Konzerthaus in 2015. They have also received awards at the 9th Johannes Brahms International Chamber Music Competition in Gdańsk (2022, 2nd prize), the Carl Wendling Chamber Music Competition in Stuttgart (2023, 1st prize), and more recently at the 30th Johannes Brahms International Competition in Pörtschach (2024, 3rd prize).

Extensive concert tours have taken the ensemble not only throughout Austria, but also to Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich), Switzerland, Italy (Portogruaro Festival, Badia Musica Festival), France, England (Milton Court, Conway Hall), Denmark, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey (Istanbul, Mersin Festival), Malta, Georgia (Caucasus), China (Shenzhen Concert Hall), and Senegal. Many of these projects were realized in cooperation with Austrian Cultural Forums abroad. In the current lineup, violinist Emily Turkanik has replaced Clemens Böck.
