The beautiful Old Town is one of the most romantic parts of Novi Vinodolski, and the streets of the Old Town are even more special during the well-known Okolotorno event. Starting tomorrow, July 12, every Wednesday in July and August will be dedicated to tradition, indigenous products and crafts, music, a touch of the past, and local food and wine offerings.

The event’s opening will also be enriched by our valuable association 51+, which will ensure that visitors can enjoy some sweets at Frankopan Square.

This year, 36 exhibitors will present a variety of products, souvenirs, and handmade crafts, and tomorrow, four musical acts will entertain everyone – three tambura bands, Barabe, Nebuloza, and Novi, and one klapa – Histri, which will perform in front of the church. At the entrance, you will be greeted by our city guard who protects the Old Town, and as you stroll through the streets, you will also encounter the Frankopans who marked the history of Novi. The traditional folk costumes worn by members of KUD will once again add a special charm to this event.

The youngest will be able to enjoy face painting again this year, while all visitors will have the chance to try archery at the entrance to the Old Town.

Novi Vinodolski, as its name suggests, is a wine valley, and the best wines can be tasted at two taverns – one at the beginning of the route, in the alley that leads from the parking lot to the church, and the other next to the Church of the Holy Trinity, at the very end of the route. Along with the wine, you will also find fine prosciutto and fried fish, which pair perfectly with our indigenous Žlahtina.
