The beginning of June, specifically Saturday, June 7, is reserved for a delightful hedonistic event set among the vineyards of the Pavlomir Winery in Novi Vinodolski. This is the third edition of the “Sparkling Breakfast in the Vineyard,” organized by the Tourist Board of Novi Vinodolski as a subproject of the Zagreb Sparkling Wine Salon, in cooperation with Pavlomir Wine House and the Kvarner Wines Association. The project’s creator is Marija Vukelić.

Kvarner’s sparkling wines will be accompanied by local ingredients, both sweet and savory delicacies, served right in the vineyard, with the enchanting sounds of jazz and picturesque photo points. The first part of the event, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, is dedicated to enjoying breakfast, while from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, participants with prior reservations will attend a guided tasting workshop. The focus will be pairing Kvarner sparkling wines with Kvarner scampi – a prized delicacy thanks to the specific conditions of its habitat, including water temperature, soil composition, and the mix of salt and fresh water.

After the workshop, the vineyard will host En Primeur Kvarner, a tasting of still wines from the wineries participating in the breakfast.

This year again, interest in the Sparkling Breakfast has been remarkable, and all tickets were sold out in advance. We sincerely thank everyone for their interest – this event has once again proven to be a complete success! The program runs until 2:00 PM, and entry is possible only with a purchased ticket or confirmed reservation.

But for those who couldn’t get tickets in time, there’s something new: the Kvarner Sparkling Wines Party, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Organized for the first time by the Kvarner Wines Association with the support of the Kvarner and Novi Vinodolski Tourist Boards and Pavlomir Winery, this event offers more opportunities to enjoy sparkling wines and gourmet treats. The Fortica restaurant will serve specialties, there will be a live performance by DJ Daddy Dee, creative cocktails by the Barmen.hr team, and of course – plenty of sparkling Kvarner bubbles.

Is there a better way to look ahead to 2026 – when Kvarner proudly becomes the European Region of Gastronomy – than with such delicious events that showcase its essence?
