On Sunday, September 8th from 10:00 AM, Novi Vinodolski will once again become a true gastronomic hotspot thanks to the popular event Novljanski Gušti. This already traditional food festival, which attracts lovers of great food and drink from across the region, will once again bring a wealth of flavors and aromas to Ivan Mažuranić Square.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of delicacies prepared by local restaurateurs — all at affordable prices. Gourmet dishes will be available for just €5.00 per portion, desserts for €3.00, and 1 dcl of premium wine for €2.00.

There will be no shortage of culinary treats. Some of the dishes you can look forward to include handmade pljukanci pasta with Istrian boškarin ragout, Hungarian perkelt stew, the “Ružica Vinodola” pork chop with pljukanci, fuži with wild mushrooms and prosciutto, and a true Mediterranean symphony of flavors – Vinodolska lukovnjača, a delicate roll of noble fish and shrimp in lime sauce. Seafood lovers will enjoy sardines served with marinated potato salad, onions, and cherry tomatoes in olive oil dressing, as well as šurlice pasta with tuna and cherry tomatoes prepared Mediterranean-style.

When it’s time for something sweet, you’ll be treated to desserts that will win you over with the very first bite – fig and carob tart, vanilla cream cake, homemade apple strudel with vanilla filling, and the beloved Vinodolska Kocka – a delicious combination of fresh ricotta, juicy figs, and light sponge cake. And that’s just a taste of what awaits – there’s something for everyone!

These delightful dishes will be accompanied by a premium wine selection, while the lively atmosphere will be provided by the Replay Band. The event host will also introduce the chefs and their culinary creations throughout the day.

The event is organized by the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski with the support of the City, KTD Ivanj, and local restaurateurs – all working together to create a true feast for the senses.
